He's Back!!!!!!!

It's been 3 years since Ol' Josh made his 1st appearance. Now he is back to teach What Was Really In "The Act of 1805" & "Tiffin's Rules" to the Deputy Surveyors of the early 1800's & how the surveyors of his day utilized the rules in laying out the townships & sections.

He's just as crazy as he was 3 yrs ago. Wait till you see him trying to establish declination on a lonely Saturday night. Ol' Josh will let you have some "hands-on" time w/ the instruments of his day. There are more new historical items to see & a constellation of stars he will tell you about. If you remember Zelda; she's back w/ a new companion piece.

We hope you have a lot of fun while teaching a few more facts about surveying in the 1830's.

We will be holding the February 5th make-up class for Indianapolis this next Friday. Because of the recent burlary of 50 + cars in the parking lot - I have changed the location from the Crown Plaza airport - to - Fort Harrison State Park Inn. Most registrants have been contacted. Jean will call & email everyone with the change.

Due to the weather - Transit Seminars is postponing Friday - Feb 5th - Indianapolis class.

We received several calls concerning the snowstorm &  decided to postpone & keep everyone safe to attend our seminar another day!

     We want to Thank Everyone who attended Transit Seminars this year. We started out a little slow....(the economy may have had something to do with that) but attendance picked up this summer & fall. And for those of you waiting / wondering when we start up again - Chuck & Jean are working on the 2010 schedule now.

     Transit Seminars will start off the New Year with Indiana's State Plane Coordinate System & an updated Economics class.  'Ol Joshua Scott will be making another appearance (you will want to dust off your boots for that class!) There will be enough classes January through June to get your 24 hours of CEU'S before the Procrastinator. Brochures will be mailed within the next few weeks & the schedule will be posted on the website.

     Procrastinator Special - Is it too early to talk about the Procrastinator? For those who are out-of-state -  planning your summer vacation - Jean booked the PS so you can make arrangements. We will be holding the Procrastinator Special at Indiana's new "Fort Harrison State Park Inn " (Garrisonresort.com) July 19 - 23, 2010.  There is lodging at the Inn & Garrison - if you plan to stay at the park - call Jean for the lodging code for our discounted rate.  If you are a golfer - be sure to bring your clubs. The Park also offers hiking, fishing, horse trail rides. Heck - you might as well combine the family vacation w/ the Procrastinator - Doesn't that sound like Fun!

    Our 1st series of classes this fall is The Land Surveyor's Practice Act of Indiana, IC 25-21.5, formally known as The Registration Act.

    This is The Statute from which Indiana's Land Surveyor Registration Board gets it's authority to regulate surveyors and how it must conduct meetings and hearings. This is also the statute from which all of the rules in 865 IAC originate.

    Earlier this year, we received special permission to video-tape an entire board meeting and two actual show-cause hearings. We've edited everything to show you what to expect if you go to a board meeting, or if you are called in for a show-cause hearing.

    This is State Board approved as a 6 Hr Mandatory CEU seminar. The cost is $180.00.
